Challenges

Lockheed Martin signed a 38,000 sf lease for Epic One midway through core & shell construction, which presented major challenges regarding tenant improvement requirements. Lockheed Martin required 3 Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIF) with separate U.S. government accreditations, and a LEED Silver CI tenant improvement. Their occupancy date of April 3, 2009, had to be met because of the lease termination of their existing location.

Results

Our project team created a Class “A” LEED Silver project that was delivered on schedule and under budget for Corporate Office Properties Trust and their client, Lockheed Martin.
